Foresters Cottage has the privacy of a woodland hideaway, tucked amongst the trees with its own driveway and private parking. It is the perfect spot for those looking for a peaceful retreat closeby to the gardens and coastline. Inside, you'll find two bedrooms upstairs – a double and a twin – while downstairs offers a spacious kitchen, a comfortable dining and sitting room, and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower. It’s a lovely base to relax and recharge after a day exploring Skye.
FLORA MACDONALD SUITE
The Flora Macdonald Suite is named after the famous Jacobite heroine who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape after the Battle of Culloden and later married here at Armadale. This romantic, modern suite features two bedrooms, a king and a twin, a separate WC, and a bathroom with a jetted bath and shower. The open-plan layout includes a kitchen, dining and a living area. Outside, there's a private terrace and parking available next to the Stables building.
Dog Friendly Accommodation
Clanranald, Keppoch, Antrim, Sleat, Glencoe, and the Foresters Cottage are all dog-friendly. We’re unable to accommodate dogs in Glengarry Cabin or the Flora MacDonald Suite.
If your dog will be joining you (maximum two per property), please add them at the time of booking. A small charge of £20 per dog applies to help cover additional housekeeping, and we kindly ask that dogs be kept out of the bedrooms.
There are plenty of beautiful, dog-friendly walks right from your doorstep, including the stunning grounds of Armadale Castle Gardens, with sea views and woodland paths just minutes away – perfect for you and your four-legged companions to explore.

Sleat is arguably the most beautiful part of the Isle of Skye. With views over to the mainland as well as to the iconic Cuillin mountain range, our sheltered seaside position and mild climate provide the best of both Highland worlds: epic mountain scenery and soft, wooded glens between pretty crofting townships. It is no surprise that Sleat is a very popular holiday destination.
Our Armadale Castle Accommodation offers six cabins, one heritage suite and one estate cottage all situated within the wooded policies of Armadale Castle. Our cosy, well-equipped four-star properties draw guests back time and again. Wake up to witness the sunrise over the mountains of Knoydart, and watch local creel boats fishing in the Sound of Sleat. White-tailed eagles glide overhead, while native red deer graze in the fields nearby. You can spend your day wandering in our famous gardens and surrounding woodlands, visit the local grocery shop to pick up fresh supplies and take an evening stroll to the pub for a supper of incredible food.
With recently refurbished interiors and an ideal location near Armadale Pier, our properties are perfect for couples, families and groups. A wonderful place to restore well-being, Armadale welcomes short breaks and longer stays throughout the year.
When you stay at Armadale, you are contributing to the work of our charity, the Clan Donald Lands Trust. Thank you for supporting us.
